Technology Vs Humanity

This thought pops out of my mind after finishing some sci-fi movie. Even though I don't know if it will be possible if I'm still around the time where machine will be able to think by itself. Maybe until they don't have any Thought of their own they will be the slave of all humanity so if some defect or error will corrupt them. That will leave them stray from there original programming. If that were to happen the machine and any form of technology will rise from the occasion and bring justice to them. If the war break-out between "Man and Technology". What would be left of the world. Will man win and the world back into the dark ages to survive or will the machine move toward the future where there will be no more organic material that has no porpuse.
